Samoan Day

This week we have celebrated Samoan Language Week. We have learnt some new Samoan, completed some Samoan pattern art and learnt a Samoan prayer and dance. Today the school presented a fantastic assembly and we got to try some yummy food.

Trip to the Museum

Room 4 with the support of 'Kids2town' travelled to the Canterbury Museum to explore. We had a wonderful time and learnt lots. A big thanks to all the parents who helped.

First Holy Communion

Well done all those who made their First Communion today, so proud of you.

South East Zone Cross Country

                South East Zone Cross Country Championship.

On Tuesday 19^th May 15 students represented St Anne’s at the South East Zone Championship at Ferrymead Park.

All students trained hard before the event and gave 100% on the day. Well Done to Indi Timms 6^th and qualifying to go to Canterbury Champs. The following were also outstanding performances and finished in the top 20: Ethan Stott, Ema McLaughlin, Ashlyn Hensley-Smith, Charlie Taylor, Alexcis Trigg. Thank you to all the parents who helped with transport and supervision on the day.

Stan's got a plan

On Monday Chris from the Christchurch City Council came to St Anne's to run a programme about what to do in a disaster. Thanks Chris and the Council for the informative lesson.
