On Thursday 2 August Susie from the Christchurch Art Gallery
took a lesson related to the Art works we saw in town. We looked at pictures of
the works and brainstormed ideas about how to decorate our Waka. Next we folded
and glued the Waka and started drawing symbols that told a story about
ourselves. Lastly we coloured and decorated the Waka.

Your art lesson looked great. Next term Susi is coming to our school to teach drawing so after seeing what you have done we are really looking forward to it.
